Interesting and rare Universal Geneve Dato-Compax chronograph in steel, dating back to 1945, in excellent aesthetic and mechanical condition.

The steel case is in excellent condition, with a compact diameter of 32.2 mm, excluding the crown. The original snap-on case back is correctly numbered and hallmarked.

The crown is original.

The silvered dial has been refinished and is in excellent condition, it is a quality older restoration and it has developed a nice and even time patina

The manual winding movement, original Universal Geneve caliber 283, features column-wheel chronograph control and is in excellent condition. It runs precisely, with the chronograph functions starting and resetting perfectly. 

This movement is a classic high-quality example from Universal Geneve.

The plexiglass crystal is perfect, and the watch comes with a new vintage-style leather strap.
