• Rare and original 1940 Girard Perregaux / Universal Geneve man’s vintage waterproof-style oversize steel  chronograph in very good condition and in proper working order
• Serial: 765XXX
• Universal Geneve at this time produced chronographs for a number of other leading watch brands, including Girard Perragaux, so this is an UG chronograph branded GP
• The larger-size steel, fully signed, waterproof-style case is in very good original  condition and it measures 37,8 mm diameter, without counting the crown. The caseback has a nice presentation which dates this watch to 1947
• The manual winding Girard Perregaux / Universal Geneve manufacture grade movement cal. 285 runs strong and keeps accurate time. The chrono functions start and stop correctly and this movement has been timed, oiled  and regulated and it keeps accurate time
• The silvered professionally restored dial is in excellent condition, it shows no time patina and no oxidations

• The plexy glass is is perfect condition, and this watch mounts a new vintage-style wristband and the crown is original too
