This Piaget Tanagra Ref. GOA 15006, circa 1995, is in an excellent overall condition and in perfect working order The Tanagra line was introduced as a modern interpretation of the classic round dress watch, with its sculpted case design and integrated lugs. It reflects Piaget’s focus during the 1990s on combining jewelry-like craftsmanship with technically refined watchmaking, appealing to clients who valued both aesthetic innovation and precision. The watch has an 18-karat yellow gold case measuring 33 mm across, excluding the original crown. The case is in very good condition, with only light traces of careful us. The caseback closes with four screws and is stamped with the correct serial and reference numbers along with Piaget’s factory hallmarks. The original sapphire crystal is intact.

The original two-tone dial is exceptionally well preserved. It has a champagne outer chapter ring with applied Roman numerals and a mirror polished gold-tone inner disc that creates an elegant play of light. A discreet date aperture is at 3 o’clock. The dial has no oxidation or restoration. Powering the watch is the Piaget calibre 256P, a thin quartz movement developed and manufactured in-house. This is a precision quartz movement developed and manufactured in- house during the 1990s, at a time when Piaget was consolidating its position as a specialist in ultra-thin and elegant timepieces. Measuring just 2.5 mm in height, the 256P reflects the brand’s long-standing tradition of slim movements, a field in which Piaget had excelled since the 1950s with calibres like the 9P and 12P.

This movement is equipped with a quick-set date mechanism. The 256P is powered by a high-frequency quartz oscillator, providing excellent timekeeping accuracy with minimal maintenance. Its robust yet thin architecture allows for streamlined cases like the Tanagra to achieve their sculptural elegance without compromising reliability.
