This Buren GrandPrix wristwatch with calendar and moonphase, dates from the 1950s and it is in a very good working condition and just serviced. The stainless steel case measures 34.5 mm in diameter (excluding crown) and is in very good condition with only light traces of wear. The pressure-locked caseback secures firmly and is stamped with the serial numbers.
The plexiglass is new. The original silvered dial with applied baton hour indices, a peripheral date ring indicated by a red central hand, and twin apertures for day and month (in German). The small seconds hand is on the moon‐phase display. The Buren logo has been professionally refreshed. The dial is in an excellent condition with no spotting or discoloration. Powered by the manual-wind calibre Buren 382, introduced in 1953 and used through the 1960s is an in-house caliber (base Buren 380), the movement measures 11.5“0, with 17 jewels, and has approximately 42 hours of power reserve.
