The Baltic Bicompax Pulso “Revolution & The Rake” Limited Edition chronograph was released in 2021 as a collaborative project between the independent French watchmaker Baltic and the lifestyle publications Revolution and The Rake. This chronographs revisits the brand’s early Bicompax chronograph architecture, with a stylistic nod to the 1940s waterproof chronographs, while embodying the accessible yet refined ethos of Baltic’s contemporary mechanical watchmaking. Only 250 pieces were produced, making this reference a limited and collectible variant within the Bicompax line.

The stainless steel case measures 36.5 mm in diameter (excluding the crown), has a stepped- lug and follows the classic proportions of the best looking 1940`s chronographs. The case is in excellent condition with only minimal signs of use. The screw-down caseback is correctly numbered and seals the case securely. The domed acrylic crystal is scratch-free. This chronograph is fit with a copper-toned two-tone sector dial with a contrasting radial-brushed outer ring and central grené finish, with two sub-dials—a running seconds at 9 o’clock and a 30- minute counter at 3 o’clock—framed by a pulsometer scale calibrated for 30 pulsations. The dial is in a perfect condition with no imperfections. The watch is powered by the Seagull ST1901 caliber, a manual-wind chronograph movement based on the Venus 175 caliber. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, it features a column wheel and 45-hour power reserve.

Originally developed in Switzerland in the 1940s, this movement has since been produced in the Orient and is valued for its mechanical reliability and vintage construction. The watch is fitted with its original leather strap and steel buckle. It is offered complete with its original box and papers, dated December 2021.
