Jaeger LeCoultre – Reverso Lady Ref. 260.1.86 Original 18kt. Gold Watch – Cal. 846

Most manufacturers fitted their women’s references with quartz movements; while the Reverso was also offered with a quartz caliber, this ref. 260.1.86 houses the same Cal. K846 that powers the men’s Reverso Classique: a hand-wound in-house movement with 93 components, 18 jewels, and a lineage through the Cal. 490 (1960) and Cal. 460 (1942). At 2.9 mm in height, the K846 is thin enough to allow the pivoting case to function without compromising the proportions of a smaller women’s case. No concession was made.

The 18kt yellow gold case measures 20 × 33 mm. The case is in near-new condition. The caseback is correctly signed and numbered. The pivoting mechanism is firm and functions correctly. The original crown is in place. The sapphire crystal is in perfect condition.

The reverso side is not engraved.

The two-tone silvered dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands is in perfect condition. No patina, no oxidation.

The movement has been serviced and is running strong.

The watch is fitted with a new crocodile strap and its original 18kt solid gold clasp.
