Rare and beautiful Zenith Defy El Primero chronograph, ref. A782, in stainless steel, in excellent aesthetic and working condition.

This iconic chronograph from was produced in 1971 with a series of 1,500 pieces, and an additional 500 in 1973. The “Patent Pending” engraving inside the case back suggests it belongs to the first series from 1971.

The waterproof-style case, with a screw-down back and pump chrono pushers, is in a very good condition, measuring 38mm (excluding the crown) by 45.5mm. The case appears unpolished, showing only light signs of use.

The original blue dial is in outstanding condition, with virtually no patina or signs of oxidation, and with a quick-set date window at 4 o’clock.

This chronograph is powered by an original Zenith manufacture El Primero 400 automatic movement, in excellent condition and freshly serviced.

The original Gay Freres GF stainless steel bracelet is in an excellent condition and it has a total length of over 21 cm.

The original mineral glass is in excellent condition, free of scratches or chips and the crown is original and screw-down.
