Brand:Zenith

Here is a Zenith Diver Ref. A3634, an automatic vintage steel watch in a very good untouched condition and just serviced Zenith is one of the few Swiss manufactures that has produced its movements entirely in-house throughout its history — a distinction that carries direct relevance to the calibre inside this watch. The ref. A3634 belongs to Zenith’s diver production of the late 1960s and early 1970s, as this was a tool-watch — surviving examples in unpolished, original condition are seldom encountered. The stainless steel case measures 37.7mm, with downturned angular lugs and a screw-down caseback. The case is in excellent, unpolished condition with sharp surfaces. The caseback has the factory, the embossed Zenith star logo ad the serial number is still visible. The bidirectional rotating bezel is in a very good original condition. The crown is original, pressure-type, and with the Zenith five-pointed star logo. The original blue sunburst dial printed luminous baton indices and original hands with luminous inserts, with date aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock. The dial is in a very good condition, it has almost no patina, and only a small scratch near the 2 o`clock area The plexi crystal is original and in a very good condition.

The movement is the Zenith Calibre 2552PC — a manufacture automatic with 23 jewels, beating at 21,600 vph, with Incabloc shock protection and centre seconds. The 2552PC was used only in the earliest references of this family, replaced from 1971 onwards by the higher- frequency 2562PC. It is an in-house movement, signed and numbered, and has been fully serviced and is running correctly. The watch is fitted with a crocodile strap with original Zenith clasp. Worldwide shipping is available and inquiries are welcome.
