Universal Genève – Ref. 212204 Original 1945 Steel Watch – Cal. 128

This watch is a 1945 ref. 212204 and has a distinctive case shape with oversized and muscular lugs, that stand in contrast with the elegant case size of 32mm, The steel case is in a very good condition and it shows only light traces of use, the fully signed pressure-locked back carries the correct reference and serial number, which allows os to date this timepiece to 1945 The original dials shows an even patina, it has small seconds at six and overall it is in a very good – pleasantly vintage – condition.

Inside is the calibre UG 128 is a manually-wound movement quite rare, it has an early shock- protection mechanism on the balance wheel, and it is relatively unknown compared to more commonly encountered Universal Genève similar calibres such as the 262 or 267, and its scarcity contributes to the collector interest of this piece. The movement has been serviced by our in-house watchmaker.
