Universal Geneve – Polerouter Date Ref. 869115 / 05 Micro-rotor 1968 Steel Watch – Cal. 1-69

This ref. 869115/05 belongs to the later production generation of the Universal Genève Polerouter Date, dated 1968 by caseback markings.

Within the 869115 series, this generation is recogniseable by its modernist case design — straight, faceted lugs replacing the twisted lyre-lug profile of earlier Polerouter references.

The two-piece stainless steel case, produced by Huguenin Frères, Geneva, measures 35mm excluding crown and 43.5mm lug to lug, with a polished screw-down caseback signed and numbered throughout. Both serial number and ref. Are legible. Case condition is very good, the crown is original and the glass is new

The vertically satin-finished silvered dial with applied baton indices and a trapezoidal date window at 3 o’clock, is very good with only minor traces of age.

The Cal. 1-69 is a manufacture-grade micro-rotor automatic — the decentralised winding rotor integrated flush within the movement plane, enabling a slimmer profile than a conventional full-rotor construction. Centre seconds, 46-hour power reserve. Movement serviced, running correctly, timekeeping accurate.

This watch will be delivered on a new vintage-style leather strap, it has been serviced in-house and is in good working order.
