Interesting and rare Universal Geneve Dato-Compax chronograph in steel, dating back to 1945, in excellent aesthetic and mechanical condition.

The Dato-Compax is one of the less common references, it has been manufactured by Universal Geneve for only a short period during the early to mid-1940s. It was the first chronograph with a date feature, later replaced by the Tri-Compax model.
The steel case is in excellent condition, with a compact diameter of 32.5 mm, excluding the crown. The original snap-on case back is correctly numbered and hallmarked.
The crown is original.

The manual winding movement, original Universal Geneve caliber 283, features column-wheel chronograph control and is in excellent condition. It runs precisely, with the chronograph functions starting and resetting perfectly. The date corrector pusher is located at 10 o’clock.
