Interesting and rare Universal Geneve Dato-Compax chronograph in solid gold dating back to 1946, in excellent aesthetic and mechanical condition.

Ref. 12495

The Dato-Compax is one of the less common references, manufactured by Universal Geneve for a short period in the first half of the 1940s. It was the first chronograph with a date function, later replaced by the Tri-Compax model.

The 18kt gold case in very good condition, showing only slight signs of aging, with a diameter of 34.6 mm excluding the crown. The case back is pressure-locked, original, and correctly numbered and stamped.

Detailed photos available upon request.

The Silver two-tone dial, reprinted, is in excellent condition. It is a quality restoration with graphics very close to the original.

The Manual winding movement, original Universal Geneve caliber cal. 285, with column wheel chronograph mechanism, is in excellent condition. It has been just serviced, and the chronograph starts and resets perfectly. Date corrector button at 10 o’clock.

This is a high-quality movement typical of this manufacturer.

Perfect plexiglass crystal, new vintage-style croco strap.

This watch is Guaranteed an original and it will be delivered with our 6-month warranty on functionality and certificate of authenticity.
