Interesting and rare Universal Geneve Compax chronograph with coin-edge gold case, dating back to 1937 and in excellent original condition.

This is one of the first Compax chronographs produced, recognizable by the four-digit reference and the “Brevet Demandé” inscription inside the case.

18kt gold case in excellent condition, showing only light signs of aging, with a classic diameter of 34 mm, excluding the crown. Original snap-on case back, numbered and stamped Universal Geneve. Detailed photos available upon request.

Silvered dial in good condition, with a slight and uniform patina of time and small oxidations.

Manual winding movement, original Universal Geneve caliber 285, with column wheel chronograph control, finely finished and in excellent condition. Runs precisely, the chronograph starts and resets perfectly. This is a high-quality movement, typical of this manufacture, excellently finished and recently serviced.
