This 2002 Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph Ref. 16264 with a steel case and white gold bezel is in a very good condition and in perfect working order. The Turn-O-Graph, introduced in 1953, was Rolex’s first model with a rotating bezel, setting the foundation for future tool watches like the Submariner and GMT-Master. This model gained prominence when adopted by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, earning it the “Thunderbird” moniker. This watch has a 36mm steel case, excluding the original crown, complemented by a white gold bi-directional rotating bezel. The case is in an excellent condition, and it shows only light traces of use The original silvered dial has a clean and legible display, adhering to the classic Datejust aesthetic. The dial is well-preserved, with no significant signs of patina, it has a small exidation on one edge of the date window, this oxidation is mostly concealed by the magnifying loupe. At the heart of this timepiece is Rolex’s Caliber 3135, an automatic, self-winding mechanical movement developed and manufactured in-house. Introduced in 1988, the Caliber 3135 has a 28.5mm diameter, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and has 31 jewels. It offers a quickset date. Renowned for its robustness and precision, the 3135 has been a mainstay in Rolex’s lineup.
This Turn-o-graph is fitted with its original Jubilee bracelet, reference 62510H, with 555B end pieces. The bracelet is in excellent overall condition, measuring over 20 cm in length, and it’s complete with its folding clasp. The watch has been serviced in-house and is in good working order.
