This Piaget Altiplano Ultra-Thin Ref. 9021, produced in the mid-1970s, is representative of the brand’s longstanding dedication to ultra-thin horology.
This watch is in an excellent overall condition and it is full set complete with its box, wallet, guarantee and leather watch pouch
Since the introduction of the groundbreaking 9P movement in 1957, Piaget has remained at the forefront of thin mechanical watchmaking. The Ref. 9021 carries forward this tradition, integrating design minimalism with technical precision in a discreet, elegant form.
This watch has a 31mm 18kt. gold case, excluding the original crown, with a finely executed Clous de Paris bezel. The pressure-fit caseback is correctly signed and numbered, preserving the integrity of the watch’s original configuration.
The case is in very good, untouched condition, showing only light signs of use. A scratch-free sapphire crystal protects the dial.
The original silvered dial has aged to a warmer hue due to uniform patina, maintaining full legibility and balance. The thin black hour markers and matching baton hands are sharp, with the Piaget logo and Swiss signature both crisp. The dial has a light halo on its edges. The minimalist dial layout underlines Piaget’s design language of understated elegance.
Powering the watch is the Piaget caliber 9P, a manual-winding movement just 2mm thick. Caliber 9P was a landmark in movement engineering, becoming a reference point in the manufacture of ultra-thin calibers. Renowned for its slim profile and reliability, it became a defining element of the Altiplano line and cemented Piaget’s legacy in precision micro-mechanics.
The watch is offered on its original black crocodile strap, fitted with a Piaget gold buckle. It is accompanied by its original presentation box, leather wallet, watch puch and a guarantee stamped in Madrid, though undated.
Recently serviced in-house, it is fully functional and comes with our six-month mechanical warranty and certificate of originality.
