The ref. 2900-6 is part of Omega’s late-1950s dress watch production, an elegant, clean-lined case housing the Cal. 267, the final evolution of the famous 30mm movement series that Omega developed over 25 years from 1939 onward.
The 30mm series became a cornerstone of Omega’s identity: reliable, accurate, and produced in sufficient quality to win observatory chronometry trials throughout the 1940s and 1950s.
What distinguishes this watch is the dial, an original two-tone honeycomb dial — a textured waffle pattern across the centre field, framed by an outer chapter ring with applied arrow indices and Arabic numerals — is in original, untouched condition. Omega produced honeycomb dials across several references in the 1950s, but surviving pieces in this state of preservation are not common. The texture catches light at every angle, giving the dial a depth that a flat printed surface cannot produce.
The stainless steel case measures 34.5 mm without counting the original Omega crown. The case is in excellent condition. The pressure-locked caseback is correctly signed and numbered. The plexy crystal is perfect. The hands are original.
