Brand:Longines

Longines, founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, has established itself as one of the most historically significant Swiss watch manufacturers, the brand has played a crucial role in the evolution of wristwatches, particularly in the early-to-mid 20th century. This 1924 vintage Longines cushion belongs to an era when cushion-shaped watches gained popularity for their balance between traditional round cases and more angular designs. The watch has a .925 sterling silver case measuring 28 mm, excluding the crown. The cushion- shaped design, with its soft edges and curved lines, was a favored choice among dress watches as the proportions of the case ensure a refined wrist presence. The case is in an excellent condition, it shows only light traces of use, the pressure-locked caseback fits tightly to the case, it is fully signed and has the matching serial number to the movement Protecting the dial is a plexiglass crystal, which is in pristine condition.

The silvered dial is an original with printed Breguet numerals that add an element of classical watchmaking elegance. The dial shows a subtle, natural patina which does not detract from legibility. At the heart of this watch is the Longines in-house Caliber 11.84N, a manual-winding movement produced through the 1930s. The 11.84N was part of a series of small, highly reliable movements developed by Longines to power their refined dress watches. Operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour, this movement ensures consistent performance with a well-balanced escapement. Longines’ focus on in-house movement manufacturing during this period, consolidating its standing as a quality watchmaker.

The watch is fitted with a new vintage style Italian leather strap. This timepiece has undergone a full in-house service, ensuring that it remains in excellent working order and it is offered with our six-month guarantee and originality certificate. With its blend of early 20th-century design, a well-preserved dial, and the manufacture-grade Caliber 11.84N movement, this watch embodies Longines’ legacy of precision and craftsmanship.
