This Heuer Ref. 347 is a military-style pilot`s steel chronograph, introduced in 1938 and produced until the mid-1940s, it represents a significant chapter in Heuer’s chronograph legacy. Notably, the Ref. 347 was among the early chronographs utilized by Air Force pilots, including those in the German Air Force during that era. This chronograph has a 36mm stainless steel case, excluding the crown, with the classic period`s design with oval chronograph pushers and fixed lugs. The pressure-locked case back is correctly signed and numbered, it is in a very good condition and it locks firmly onto the case. The original plexiglass is in excellent condition.

The case is in a very good condition, it dos not seem to have been polished, and it shows only light/normal traces of use The original black silver gilt dial is designed for an immediate legibility, with large arabic numerals and military-style hands. The dial’s condition is remarkable, with well-preserved printing and markers, and a subtle patina that attests to its vintage character. At the heart of the Ref. 347 is the Valjoux 22 caliber, a manual-winding, two-register chronograph movement measuring 31.3mm in diameter. The Valjoux 22 is a quality colum-wheel movement renowned for its reliability and was widely used in professional-grade chronographs of its time. The watch is fitted with an original vintage leather strap.
