This vintage Girard-Perregaux Pilot chronograph is a manual-wind timepiece that traces its heritage to the golden age of Swiss military and aviation-inspired chronographs. Manufactured in the early 1960s, this chronograph is part of a lesser-seen series by Girard- Perregaux, reflecting the brand’s brief but noteworthy engagement with professional-grade chronograph production during that period, collaborating with renowned movement makers such as Excelsior Park, GP developed precise, tool-oriented chronographs with clean, legible dials tailored to practical use. The watch has a stainless steel waterproof-style case measuring 36.8mm in diameter, excluding the original crown. It has round chrono pushers and a screw-down caseback, supporting the utilitarian nature of the model. The case appears unpolished and is in very good condition, displaying only minor signs of use. The domed plexiglass crystal is in perfect condition.

Its original matte black dial has the classic military-style dual-register layout. The luminous hands and printed hour markers are very well preserved. The dial shows only very light, uniform patina, consistent with its age. Inside, the watch is powered by the Girard-Perregaux Caliber 0409, based on the Excelsior Park 4 — a hand-wound column wheel chronograph movement valued for its reliability and smooth functioning. This chronograph has been fully serviced in-house. It is in excellent working condition and will be delivered with a six-month mechanical guarantee and a certificate of originality.
