The Buren Slender-Matic is an elegant and intriguing timepiece from the Buren Watch Company, a brand with deep roots in Swiss watchmaking. Founded in 1898 in Büren an der Aare, the company became known for precision craftsmanship. By the late 1950`s Buren was a pioneer in the development of micro-rotor movements and integrated chronograph movements, and it played a key role in Swiss horological history. 

In 1966 Buren was acquired by Hamilton, and this Slender Matic Super-Ellipse was manufactured in this period in the late 1960`s. 

The Buren Slender-Matic, identifiable by its clean, minimalist design, is inspired by the refined aesthetics of the Patek Philippe Ellipse, though it offers a more robust and bolder design with a larger and bigger case. 

This specific model has an 18-karat gold case measuring 29.8 mm, excluding the original crown, by 41.8 mm, lugs included, with soft curves, a step-case design mixing polished and brushed finish.
