We are pleased to present an original and rare Lemania Benthos 500 I Professional, a professional diver’s watch tested for 1000 meters. This timepiece features a monobloc stainless steel case and an automatic winding movement, dating back to the mid-1970s. It has been serviced and is in excellent condition.

The Benthos 500 I was produced starting in 1974 and was one of the first underwater watches to incorporate a central minute counter and offer water resistance tested up to 1000 meters, which makes it a true technical dive watch.

It is powered by a mechanical automatic movement, an Anton Schild caliber AS 2162, which ensures precise and reliable timekeeping. The movement has been fully overhauled, and the watch is delivered with a six-month warranty.

The stainless steel case is constructed as a single block, it is in a very good original and untouched condition. It shows no signs of polishing and only minor signs of use, measuring 41.2 mm in diameter, not including the screw-down crown.

Protected by quadruple-layer mineral glass, this is free from scratches and chips, maintaining its pristine appearance.

The original black dial is in excellent condition, exhibiting only a very slight and uniform time patina and it is complete with its original luminescent material.

The unidirectional rotating bezel is made of black bakelite, adding to the watch’s vintage charm.

The watch is fitted with a new, unsigned leather strap, which complements its classic aesthetic beautifully.
